Getting Started

What is SpookyFits?

SpookyFits is an AI-powered app that lets you virtually try on Halloween costumes. Simply upload a photo of yourself and see instant transformations into spooky characters!

How do I take a good photo for costume try-on?

Stand in front of a plain background with your full body visible. Use the silhouette guide in the camera screen to position yourself correctly. Good lighting helps achieve better results.

Can I use SpookyFits without creating an account?

Yes! You can try the app as a guest. After completing onboarding, guests receive 3 free transformations to explore the app.

How do I create an account?

You can sign up using:

  • Apple Sign In (recommended for iOS users)
  • Google Sign In

Note: Traditional email/password sign-up is not currently available.


Subscriptions & Pricing

Is SpookyFits free?

SpookyFits offers free transformations for guests (3 try-ons after onboarding). To continue creating unlimited spooky looks, you can subscribe to one of our plans.

What subscription plans are available?

We offer two plans:

  • Weekly Pass: $2.99/week - 50 transformations
  • Monthly Magic: $9.99/month - 250 transformations ⭐ BEST VALUE

Does SpookyFits offer a free trial?

Yes! A free trial may be available depending on your region and App Store eligibility. You'll see trial details (if available) when viewing subscription options in the app.

How do I cancel my subscription?

  1. Go to Settings in the app
  2. Tap "Manage Subscription"
  3. This will open your iOS subscription settings
  4. Select SpookyFits and choose Cancel Subscription

You can cancel anytime - your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period.

How do I restore my purchases?

If you've subscribed on another device or need to restore your subscription:

  1. Open the subscription screen in the app
  2. Tap "Restore Purchases" at the bottom
  3. Wait for the system to verify your purchase

Can I save and share my transformations?

Yes! After each transformation, you can:

  • Save the image to your camera roll
  • Share directly to Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, or other social apps

How long does a transformation take?

Most transformations complete in 10-30 seconds, depending on image size and server load. Maximum processing time is 40 seconds.

What happens if I run out of transformations?

  • Weekly subscribers: Your counter resets after 7 days
  • Monthly subscribers: Your counter resets after 30 days

The app tracks your transformation count and will notify you when you're running low.


Privacy & Data

Is my photo data safe?

Yes! Your privacy is our top priority:

  • Photos are processed securely using encrypted connections
  • Your photos are automatically deleted from our servers after processing
  • Only you can access your saved transformations
  • We never share your photos with third parties

Troubleshooting Guide

Login Issues

"Invalid email or password" error

Note: SpookyFits uses Apple Sign In or Google Sign In - there are no traditional passwords.

Can't create an account

  • Make sure you have a stable internet connection
  • Try closing and reopening the app
  • Ensure you're signed in to your Apple ID or Google account in device settings

Apple Sign In not working

  • Go to iOS Settings → [Your Name] → Password & Security
  • Make sure "Two-Factor Authentication" is enabled
  • Try signing out and back into iCloud, then retry

Google Sign In not working

  • Ensure the Google app is up to date
  • Check that you're signed in to your Google account in Safari
  • Try signing out of Google in Safari and signing back in

Transformation Problems

Transformation fails or gets stuck

  • Check your internet connection (WiFi recommended)
  • Ensure the photo shows your full body clearly
  • Try taking a new photo with better lighting
  • Close other apps to free up memory
  • Restart the app and try again

Poor transformation quality

  • Use a photo with a plain background (avoid busy patterns)
  • Ensure good, even lighting (avoid harsh shadows)
  • Stand straight with arms slightly away from body
  • Make sure your full body is visible in frame
  • Avoid extremely loose or baggy clothing for best results
  • Face the camera directly

"Out of transformations" message

  • Check your subscription status in Settings
  • Your transformation count resets based on your subscription period
  • If you believe this is an error, try "Restore Purchases" in the subscription screen

Subscription Issues

Subscription not recognized after purchase

  1. Wait up to 24 hours for new subscriptions to fully activate
  2. Go to Settings → Tap "Restore Purchases"
  3. Make sure you're signed in with the correct Apple ID
  4. Check if the payment went through:
    • iOS Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions
    • Look for SpookyFits in your active subscriptions

Can't subscribe or payment fails

  • Verify your payment method in iOS Settings → [Your Name] → Payment & Shipping
  • Make sure you don't have parental controls or restrictions enabled
  • Ensure you have a valid payment method on file with Apple
  • Try restarting your device and attempting again
  • Try subscribing through: iOS Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Add Subscription

Charged but no access

  • Go to Settings in the app and tap "Restore Purchases"
  • Check your email for a receipt from Apple
  • Allow up to 24 hours for processing
  • If still not working, contact support with your Apple receipt

App Performance

App crashes or freezes

  1. Force quit the app:
    • Swipe up from bottom (or double-click Home button)
    • Swipe up on SpookyFits to close it
    • Reopen the app
  2. Check for app updates in the App Store
  3. Restart your iPhone
  4. Ensure you have at least 1GB free storage
  5. If problems persist, delete and reinstall the app
    • Your account data will be preserved
    • You may need to sign in again

Images not loading

  • Check your internet connection
  • Pull down to refresh the screen
  • Try switching between WiFi and cellular data
  • Sign out and sign back in (Settings → Sign Out)

App running slowly

  • Close other apps running in the background
  • Free up storage space on your device
  • Restart your iPhone
  • Clear Safari cache (iOS Settings → Safari → Clear History and Website Data)

Other Issues

Can't share to social media

  • Check if SpookyFits has permission to access the app:
    • iOS Settings → [Social Media App] → Allow SpookyFits
  • Make sure the social media app is installed and updated
  • Try saving to camera roll first, then sharing manually from Photos app

Saved transformations disappeared

  • Pull down to refresh the screen
  • Make sure you're logged into the correct account
  • Note: Transformations as a guest are not permanently saved
    • Create an account to save your transformations permanently

Wrong costume applied

  • Make sure you selected the correct costume before taking/uploading your photo
  • Try the transformation again with the correct costume selected
